The Blue Voodoo Head is an all-tube amp (Class AB), which represents the top of the line for professional players who need the extra punch of a tube amp on stage. American made Blue Voodoo amps give you the power and tonal versatility that modern metal and rock demand.
The Blue Voodoo's powerful clean tones and versatile, from creamy to crunchy overdrive tones are driven by four 6L6/5881 power tubes and four 12AX7 preamp tubes. This is a potent head pushing 120 watts, ideal for driving full- and half-stack rigs.
Crate Blue Voodoo Features:
- 120 Class AB Tube Watts via Groove Tubes
- 4 6L6/5881 Power Tubes & 4 12AX7 Preamp Tubes all BRAND NEW!
- Two Channels
- Dual Reverb
- Line Out
- Switchable Effects Loop
- Incased in tough Blue Tolex
It includes the Blue Voodoo120 High Gain Retube Kit with 6L6GC's that I just purcahsed from eurotubes.com! The matched retube kit cost $150!
Includes the 2 channel footswitch and footswitch cable, along with a new power cord (still in it's package!). Other features include 2 channels with reverb, a line out and an effects loop. There's also a switch in the back of the head for 8 or 16ohms.
The second-to-the-last photo is a another shot of the front. I included it so that you can better see what the colors look like in "real-life". (I achieved this by turning the flash on.) I would have taken all photos with the flash but it caused a lot of reflections so I turned it off.
This amp lists somewhere between $1,100 to $1,400 (about average as far as 100 watt tube heads go), but can be found for around $600 used, especially if they're in this condition. (and that's just the head!)
The matching cabinet is filled with 4 Celestion Vintage V30 loudspeakers! (Each speaker sold alone goes for $145 used on eBay! So this is a great deal!) Both amp and cabinet are in "like new" condition, I used it in 7 jam sessions and that was it.
Stored in a clean, smoke & pet free, studio environment. (I take very good care of my equipment.)
If you're looking for a versatile stack with all the power and gain you'll ever need (and you don't have $2000) this one's for you! Here's your chance to get that killer half-stack you've always wanted for a great price!
